  • Item 1: (1961) The outer limit of the Río de la Plata is fixed, by means of the Argentine-Uruguayan Joint Declaration of January 30. (1961) The limit between the Uruguay River and the Río de la Plata is fixed, with the signing of the Treaty of Limits on the Uruguay River, on April 7.

  • Item 2: (1964) The Rio de la Plata Protocol is signed, creating a Mixed Commission, antecedent of the CARP.

  • Item 3: (1973) Signing of the Treaty of the Río de la Plata and its Maritime Front, creating the CARP and the CTMFM.

  • Item 4: (1974) Ratification of the Treaty by both countries.

  • Item 5: (1997) Dredging of the Martín García Channel to 32 feet (9.75 m) in soft bottoms and 34 feet (10.36 m) in hard bottoms.

  • Item 6: (1999) Commencement of the concession for the management of the Martín García Channel.
